The Nordic-Canadian Cooperation project aimed to strengthen existing networks with Canada and to promote Nordic solutions within sustainable transport, energy and housing. The Nordic countries and Canada can benefit from increasing their collaboration on environmental issues, founded on the many parallels that can be drawn between Canada and the Nordic region. Similar climate conditions, population density issues and energy concerns, and not least the vast opportunities that lie in growing their green economies, brought the six countries together for CanNord in March 2011 in Toronto, Canada.
