Hydrogen is key to Nordic carbon-neutrality. Together with ammonia and e-fuels, hydrogen is portrayed as a magic potion to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors like steel, cement, fertilizers, and transport – is this wishful thinking? Which types and volumes of hydrogen will be needed, and when?

The session The many colours of hydrogen – A magic potion for deep decarbonization? brings together thought leaders, policymakers, academia, and industry to weigh in on what is needed, and when.

Time and place

On 15 November at 09.3010.30 (CET), the Energy & ACE Day of COP27, you are welcome to gain insight into questions such as how hydrogen, ammonia, and e-fuels can be sustainably produced in the right amounts at the right time, and what blue and pink hydrogen can do for the energy transition.

At the event, Nordic Energy Research will exhibit ways in which the Nordic region is able to contribute to cutting emissions and mitigating global warming.
