Nordic Energy Research is pleased to inform you that we are hosting five events at COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The events take place at the Nordic Pavillion, which will be on-site between 7–18 November. Nordic Energy Research’s events are arranged on 11 November (the Decarbonization Day), on 14 November (the Water & Gender Day), on 15 November (the Energy & ACE Day), and on 16 November (the Biodiversity Day). Furthermore, Kevin Johnsen and Marton Leander Vølstad from Nordic Energy Research are participating as panel members on 9 and 16 November.

All events will be livestreamed.

9 November

On the Finance Day at 12.15–13.15, Nordic Energy Research co-hosts the event World Energy Outlook – The key choices, consequences and contingencies that lie ahead in the path of the clean energy transition with IEA.

At 17.15–18.15, Kevin Johnsen will be panelist at Achieving a Just Transition: Decarbonising Industrial Heartlands. The event will take place at the Multilevel Action Pavilion, Blue Zone, COP27 (ICLEI) Area B Building 8 Pavilion P30.

11 November

On the Decarbonization Day at 11.00–12.00, the event Scaling Carbon Capture and Storage – A Nordic Perspective on how Carbon Capture can be Deployed at Scale is organized in collaboration with Ørsted, Aker Carbon Capture, and Carbfix.

On the Water & Gender Day, Nordic Energy Research will present the Nordic Energy Equality Network (NEEN) at the event Mind the gap – Gender Equality, Female entrepreneurship, and the Green Transition at 15.00–16.00.

On the Energy & ACE Day, Nordic Energy Research is arranging two events together with IEA and Mission Innovation.

First, The many colours of hydrogen – A magic potion for deep decarbonisation? takes place at 09.30–10.30.

16 November

On the Biodiversity Day at 13.30–14.30, the event Co-existence with nature – Nature-based solutions for the climate and biodiversity crises is co-organized with the Nordic Working Group for Biodiversity (NBM), the Nordic Vision 2030 project on Nature-based solutions, and VELUX.
