Ole’s main responsibilities include research funding and managing the Nordic Maritime Transport and Energy Research Programme, the Joint Baltic-Nordic Energy Research Programme, and the Nordic Energy Systems Programme. He also serves as an observer to the board of Nordic Energy Research on behalf of the personnel.
Ole has a background in process management and policy implementation. Before joining Nordic Energy Research, he worked as a process owner at the Danish Tax Authority, leading the national implementation of EU processes. He has extensive experience in process design, facilitating workshops, and engaging stakeholders. Previously, he was a project coordinator at the Nordic startup Diction and worked in business development at Austevoll Municipality.
Ole holds an M.Sc. in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen, with a focus on the external harmonisation of the European energy system.
